MY FAVORITE HOMES OF THE WEEK... OCTOBER 10, 2025

Hello Everyone,

So the fall inventory is nearing its peak with a lot of homes to choose from right now and of course a lot of them are not so great, but a lot of them are! So if you’re a buyer, get out there and take a look at some of these lovely homes!!

1933 Coolidge Ave. Altadena

$1,095,000 3bd & 2ba 1,300 sq.ft 6,224 lot

Open Saturday & Sunday, 2-5 pm

Come visit me this weekend at this darling home that has some mid-century flare! I love the big huge picture window in the front that frames out the ornamental pear tree. This home gets great light and has an open flow to it. The owner decided that it would be better to open the 3rd bedroom to the kitchen and use it like a den that flows out so nicely to the back yard and I agree! The original kitchen has been nicely upgraded and the main bathroom is vintage cute. This price point is still very popular so I have had a lot of activity…make sure you swing by this weekend before it's gone!

1953 Grand Oaks Ave. Altadena

$2,800,000 4bd & 3ba 2,844 sq.ft 9,000 lot

Open Saturday & Sunday, 2-4 pm

I remember seeing this house before they fixed it and it was in decent shape with a decent floor plan, but these investors have taken it to the next level. I like that they did not mess with the original charm of the home, but then added in the upgrades that we crave! They did a great job transforming the 60’s style family room addition with finishes that make the space feel as Spanish as the rest of the house. I am a sucker for details, so I love how they created a nook for the bed with an arch in one of the bedrooms. It is a wonderful Spanish in a lovely location, so if you’re looking in this price range stop by…..if you’re looking for design ideas then also stop by!

675 S El Molino Ave. Pasadena

$2,575,000 4bd & 2.5ba 2,681 sq.ft 13,064 lot

Open Saturday & Sunday, 2-4 pm

So this part of El Molino is not the best part of Madison Heights because it’s a busier street and quite narrow, but it’s still Madison Heights! It’s a very nice looking craftsman that has been lovingly maintained and updated throughout the years. I love the big front porch and all the lovely landscaping…..I’m a sucker for good landscaping and I think so are most people. I’ve seen mediocre houses sell for top dollar because of great landscaping. I also love the kitchen which I know could not have been original so kudos to the owner that created that big open space by cobbling together a bunch of small useless spaces!

1725 Homet Rd. Pasadena

$1,900,000 3bd & 2ba 2,390 sq.ft 12,204 lot

Open Saturday 3-5 pm & Sunday 2-4 pm

This mid-century ranch is located right on the San Marino border and seems very well priced. I love… love… love the fireplace surrounded in glass like that! They obviously cleaned it up for sale and it definitely still needs a lot more updating, but great potential on an oversized lot in a premier neighborhood!

2212 E Crary St. Pasadena

$1,599,000 3bd & 2ba 2,066 sq.ft 10,061 lot

Open Saturday & Sunday, 2-4 pm

If nothing else…..you have to see this house for the backyard! Wow what a serene and beautiful space! It is such a well thought out design…..you step out there and just melt into a state of relaxation. I also like the house quite a bit! It has a wonderful open flow with the living area in the front and family room space in the back that flows out to that amazing yard. It only has 2 bedrooms, but they are two very large primary suites with nicely remodeled baths. They even converted the garage into a very nice studio ….no permit and no kitchen but a huge bedroom and bathroom for guests. If you would rather have a garage, then just rip out the luxury vinyl and put the garage door back and you will have a very nicely finished garage with a bathroom! The only negative is that this part of Crary is not as polished as the neighborhood just to the east.

3045 Oneida St. Pasadena

$1,350,000 4bd & 2ba 1,800 sq.ft 7,109 lot

Open Open Saturday & Sunday, 12-4 pm

This is a funny little street in that the streets that dead end into it get a hefty price per square foot, but then Oneida itself always feels a little funky. Still it looks like a lot of house for the money…..assuming the 1800 sq.ft. does not include the probably unpermitted ADU in the back. This is also a Spanish style home that is more Spanish on the outside than on the inside. Unfortunately the original windows have been replaced and there isn’t much architectural detailing anywhere else. Still…. it is well priced for the area in general so worth a peek!

1358 Idlewood, Glendale

$1,249,000 3bd & 1ba 1,334 sq.ft 6,031 lot

Open Saturday 1-3 pm & Sunday 3-5 pm

I definitely like the curb appeal and the neighborhood of this Spanish, but it doesn’t have as much charm. The upgrades are newer but not new enough and it doesn’t have enough exciting architectural detailing. Still it is decently priced for north Glendale and worth seeing if this is your price range!

1311 Dartmouth Dr. Glendale

$1,189,000 2bd & 1ba 1,227 sq.ft 4,091 lot

Open Sunday 2-4 pm

This cute Spanish style home is located in Adams Square. I do really like the Art Deco style of the commercial buildings in this neighborhood. We don’t have a lot of Art Deco in the area so I love it when I see it! This Spanish again is a bit of a hybrid with the Spanish exterior and coved plastered ceilings and arches, but then Bungalow style windows. The kitchen is original and I love it with the black & yellow tile….so cute! The lots are smaller in Adams Square, but still it’s a totally doable backyard.

2030 Lovila Ln. Altadena

$1,098,000 2bd & 2ba 1,098 sq.ft 4,450 lot

Open Saturday & Sunday, 2-4 pm

I’m surprised that this darling little craftsman didn’t sell last week! I mean I know the location is not ideal. It’s in the area of Altadena where there are apartments and such and it’s a private street facing a water storage tank, but still it’s adorable and so well done! I mean look at all those beautiful wood stained windows and the detail in the kitchen cabinets….I haven’t seen that design before….Bravo! Maybe they are waiting till after this weekend to look at offers…..that might be why it hasn’t sold.
