MY FAVORITE HOMES OF THE WEEK... OCT 17, 2025

Hello Everyone,

So as we get later into October I would expect fewer homes to come on the market and this week there were definitely fewer homes to talk about, but still enough to make it worth going out this weekend and checking out a few places. So let’s get on with my favorites!

2092 Midlothian Dr. Altadena

$3,850,000 5bd & 5ba 4,647 sq.ft 23,258 lot

No scheduled open houses. Please contact me for a private showing!

Now $3.8 is not a common price point in Altadena, but if any house deserves this price….its this one! These owners have done a masterful job of remodeling and adding on to this house over the years! They were so conscientious about picking finishes that fit the style of the home. I’m especially impressed with the family room. It’s obviously an addition because they didn’t make family rooms back in those days, but if you didn’t know any better you would swear it was original to the home because of the beamed ceilings and that expansive picture window! The yard is spectacular with a pool….fire pit…tennis court and guest house! I would sell my kidney to live in that house…..Bravo….so well done! I’m just so sad that it is not open to the public so you will just have to be satisfied looking at the pictures.

1660 Las Lunas St. Pasadena

$1,699,000 4bd & 2ba 2,044 sq.ft 9,004 lot

Open Saturday & Sunday, 1-4 pm

This has a lot of character and curb appeal. I love the farmhouse feel to it! The living room is a very nice space and all you need is a door along the back wall and a deck along the back of the house and you have great access to the yard! I love the upstairs layout with a gathering space at the top of the stairs and a balcony where you can while away the hours. There is only one bath upstairs, but there are 4 bedrooms so you can easily combine 2 of the bedrooms to create an amazing primary suite! Definitely worth seeing if this is your price range.

847 Eaton Dr. Pasadena

$1,690,000 3bd & 2.5ba 2,433 sq.ft 9,398 lot

Open Saturday & Sunday, 1-4 pm

I remember this house because I had a buyer who was looking at it in 2010…..it was a big FIXER! Too much for my people….too much for me. But this owner has lovingly restored and updated this home throughout and it has charm and character and tasteful upgrades. Now the bathrooms are still original but cute….still I think most people would remodel them. The layout upstairs already has a primary suite with access to a balcony overlooking the backyard. A very good house indeed!

1418 Cleveland Rd. Glendale

$1,399,999 4bd & 2ba 1,800 sq.ft 7,109 lot

Open Open Saturday & Sunday, 12-4 pm

This English style home in North Glendale seems well priced for what it has to offer. It looks like it has been remodeled nicely enough and yet still retains most of its original charm. One picture suggests that one of the bedrooms is off the kitchen and that would be awkward, but still worth seeing to find out if the floor plan works overall. They took the drought tolerant theme a little too far…..the backyard is totally barren!

3658 Sierra Vista Ave. Glendale

$1,349,000 3bd & 2.5ba 1,443 sq.ft 7,283 lot

Open Saturday 12-4 pm & Sunday 1-4 pm

Montrose is a very small pocket neighborhood so I’m surprised that another house came on back to back. This one looks more appealing to me than the one from last week because I like how the dining room flows out to the yard and the potential of opening up the kitchen to create a really nice open flow. It looks like it has been well maintained but it definitely needs updating. Still it’s Montrose so I’m sure it won’t be available for long.

1840 Santa Rosa Ave. Pasadena

$1,195,000 4bd & 2ba 1,344 sq.ft 5,382 lot

Open Saturday & Sunday, 12-2 pm

This little duplex is a pleasant surprise. The main house is small like 850 sq.ft and then the back house is about 500 sq.ft. The back house was not a conversion so the property still has a garage for the main house which is great! . I love the living room with the huge plaster coving and the wide opening at the hallway….so pretty. The dining room and kitchen are quite cramped, but the bedrooms are very spacious. The back house is very cute and I love the private little yard area. It definitely needs some landscaping help to create a private area in the front for the main house and the driveway needs to be redone since it attracts so much attention.

1862 N Madison Ave. Pasadena

$945,000 2bd & 2ba 1,065 sq.ft 5,712 lot

Open Saturday 12-3 pm & Sunday, 12-4 pm

Not much comes up under a million in a decent neighborhood. This cute little mid century ranch sits in the up and coming area of Pasadena between Lake & Los Robles. I don’t think this street has a historical destination, but it is lined with cute historical homes! It has a nice big open living/dining room space that looks out onto the backyard. It’s not a big backyard but it is very cute and private. It has been remodeled throughout and even though it’s a bit dated you can tell it was well done at the time. I love all the hammered copper sinks! The biggest advantage is that it has 2 baths! I know that doesn’t sound like a big deal, but these houses weren’t built this way and this one not only has a 2nd bath, but it’s a proper primary suite! Check it out this weekend before it disappears!
