MY FAVORITE HOMES OF THE WEEK... MAY 8, 2026

Hello Everyone,

This Sunday is Mother’s Day and I hope everyone is spending time with loved ones this Sunday celebrating the Mothers in your life and not just Mothers, but all the women in your life that helped you become the person you are today!

All my favorite homes this week are open on Saturday so that you can spend Sunday celebrating with Mom!

689 E Woodbury Dr. Altadena

$1,350,000 3bd & 2ba 1,813 sq.ft 11,282 lot

Open Saturday & Sunday 2-4 pm

This home is a great opportunity! It has a darling 2 bd & 1ba cottage built in the 20s with beautiful wood frame windows, moldings, trim and rich hardwood flooring throughout. The kitchen has been tastefully upgraded and the bath has beautiful wainscoting and then striking wallpaper reminiscent of the era. The backyard has been lovingly landscaped and then beyond the gate you find another home with 1 bd & 1ba and an expansive grassy backyard. This property is great for multi generational living, or a first time buyer who needs the rental income.

1724 E Loma Alta Dr. Altadena

$2,495,000 4bd & 3ba 2,596 sq.ft 17,512 lot

Open Saturday 2-5 pm

This stunning mid-century home was designed by renowned architects Buff, Smith & Hensman. The home was designed with walls of glass to capture the view from every angle. The beamed ceilings and all that glass…..you just can’t build them like that anymore because of all the earthquake requirements. Here’s your chance to own a piece of architectural history!

1445 Paloma St. Pasadena

$2,280,000 4bd & 4ba 2,567 sq.ft 10,563 lot

Open Saturday 1-4 & Sunday 2-4 pm

I put this house on my list because I actually like how they remodeled the inside. I like the overall style of the finishes. I just don’t like it for that house. The outside has such charming Bungalow curb appeal and I just think the inside remodel should be more true to the period of the home.

1833 Morada Pl. Pasadena

$1,295,000 3bd & 2ba 1,831 sq.ft 7,650 lot

Open Saturday & Sunday, 2-4 pm

This home seems nicely priced for the character, size and condition. I’m hoping there are some beautiful hardwood floors under all that carpet! The kitchen has been redone…but feels a bit dated at this point. My gut tells me to open the space to the dining room and then modernize the space by painting the cabinets and changing the flooring & countertops. The baths are in good shape, but will need updating at some point….more than anything to make them feel more 20s rather than 50s. The yard looks like a very nice and private space too!

1037 Worcester Ave. Pasadena

$1,185,000 3bd & 2ba 1,606 sq.ft 7,096 lot

Open Saturday & Sunday 2-4 pm

This cute little craftsman has charming curb appeal with the shingled siding and that expansive bay window! I haven’t seen it but it feels like a more open flow for a character home. I like the kitchen and the bathrooms are fine enough….though I hate fiberglass tubs & shower enclosures…..they would have to go as soon as I had the money! Still it looks to be in nice shape…..my only concern is Worcester is a little too far west for my taste.

1839 N Michigan Pl. Pasadena

$1,000,000 2bd & 2ba 1,044 sq.ft 7,053 lot

Open Saturday 1-4 pm

This home looks like quite a nice spanish with an open flow and a generous yard. The kitchen is a little dated. I think that’s mostly the routing detail on the cabinets and it wouldn’t take much to replace the doors. The baths seem like they’ve been redone more recently and I like the style. The only thing is that I don’t see a garage anywhere…..maybe that’s the reason for the pricing?
