MY FAVORITE HOMES OF THE WEEK... April 25, 2025

Hello Everyone,

Here we are in the peak of the spring season and there just doesn’t seem to be that surge of inventory I expected! There just wasn’t a lot to see on Caravan this week, but still there were a few I thought were worth heading out to see. So let’s get on with my favorites for this week!

3435 Crestford Dr. Altadena

$2,395,000 3bd & 3ba 2,420 sq.ft 15,007 lot

Open Saturday & Sunday, 2-4 pm

This home is located in the Florecita neighborhood by JPL. Being by JPL was the saving grace from the fire for this side of town! It is ALWAYS a top priority to protect JPL and this neighborhood is in the ring where the fire retardant is dispersed!! In case you are worried, they did do the typical smoke remediation protocol before coming on the market. Of course you fall right in love with that huge open living/dining room space that overlooks that amazing setting with the pool and the lush mature landscape and view of the canyon...so nice! Inside not only do you have that amazing entertaining space and flow but the kitchen and all the bathrooms have been remodeled. The primary bath is crazy dramatic with that huge window framing out that beautiful water feature…..so Zhen!

1191 N Los Robles Ave. Pasadena

$1,599,000 3bd & 4ba 2,156 sq.ft 8,749 lot

Open Saturday & Sunday, 2-4 pm

I love a good Craftsman and this is a good Craftsman. The owners worked very hard over the years to restore this home and you can feel that energy when you go through it. I love the exterior paint color combination with the 3 colors to highlight the different trim work. Then of course all that gorgeous rich woodwork from the doors to the beams to the wainscoting and down to the built-ins is really what makes a Craftsman home timeless. I like that they used dark wood cabinetry in the kitchen and added the beamwork….not a fan of the flooring….I would prefer a cool marmoleum product. Upstairs the bathrooms have been redone and you actually have a primary suite up there. Although I’m not a fan of the finishes they chose for the 2nd bath, I do love the porthole that they incorporated as the shower window! I also love what they did with the backyard installing that perfectly sized pool for the space!

1132 Forest Ave. Pasadena

$1,198,000 3bd & 2ba 1,430 sq.ft 6,324 lot

Open Saturday & Sunday, 1-4 pm

This cute English sits in a neighborhood that is betwixt and between…..on one side sits Prospect Park which is one of the oldest and most prestigious neighborhoods in Pasadena…. but on the other side is a neighborhood that has some of the weakest resale value in Pasadena. This pocket is a great way to find an affordable home in a quiet pocket on the west side of town. Nothing like refinishing the hardwood floors and giving everything a fresh coat of paint to make a house feel so much better! This house gets good light and it has a good floor plan. The kitchen could use a reboot, but it’s clean and non offensive so nothing you have to attack right away. They did a great job adding on the primary suite and the bathroom is expansive which is never a bad thing! I like that the lot stretches from street to street…so you enter the garage on the other street and don’t waste any backyard to the driveway. A good house for a good price!

2286 E Dudley St. Pasadena

$1,100,000 2bd & 2ba 1,249 sq.ft 6,940 lot

Open Sunday 12-3 pm

This classic traditional home is located in a lovely neighborhood in Pasadena where the streets are lined with trees and charming homes! This home definitely needs everything! I mean you can see all the outlines of all the pictures that used to hang on the walls stained into the paint! But I like all the original features and it has a good layout with the dining room opening out to the yard…..well it would open up if you redo that enclosed porch into a covered patio. I think it’s priced a bit high considering how much work it needs, but if you can get it for closer to a million then it makes more sense.

3059 Glenrose Ave. Altadena

$995,000 2bd & 1ba 1,150 sq.ft 7,821 lot

Open Sunday 1-3 pm

This home is close to the fire zone so I am really curious as to how well it does. It is very well priced considering its charm, size and condition. It just came on the market, but it looks to be lovingly maintained and decently upgraded! The kitchen and bath can be tweaked into something more interesting and the backyard definitely needs some improvement, but it is worth seeing if this is your price range!
