Hello Everyone! I don´t know about you but I am ready for some sunshine!! It just has been so gloomy this week and I miss me some sun! So
last week I had to be pickier about the houses because there were so
many choices and I can´t really do more than 10 favorite homes…..cause
I´m lazy 😉 This week I had to be less picky and I
still only came up with 6 houses that I thought were worth going out of
your way to see!
2780 Winrock Ave. Altadena
$1,795,000 3bd & 2ba 2,446 sq.ft 9,975 lot
Open Saturday & Sunday, 1-4pm
The owner of this home is a former Disney Creative Executive who turned this house into an experience for all to enjoy! He was inspired by the California Wine Country and you definitely feel that as you walk through the home and explore the grounds! I love the thoughtful use of stacked stone work throughout and the exterior spaces transport you to your favorite resort with those stunning mountain views, lush landscaping, sparkling pool and a 360 degree soundscape….no less! I will be there this weekend soaking in all this ambience….so come and join me!
2132 Grand Oaks Ave. Altadena
$1,841,000 4bd & 3ba 2,425 sq.ft 9,975 lot
Open Saturday & Sunday, 2-4pm
This home is on a lovely block of Grand Oaks! I remember it quite well since I represented the investor that sold it last just a few years ago! Seems like the current owners are moving to the east coast so now is your chance to get this nice home! The front does not look like a 2400 sq.ft house, but I think they did a nice job with the add-on! You have a formal living room and then a kitchen that opens to the dining and family rooms! You have 2bd and 1 bath off one side then the master suite off the family room….not ideal but not bad. The finishes are typical flip choices, but these owners did a very nice job with that pool in the back and landscape in the front!
1571 Rose Villa St. Pasadena
$1,699,000 3bd & 2ba 2,047 sq.ft 12,690 lot
Open Saturday & Sunday, 2-4pm
This nice looking English sits in the Cal Tech neighborhood. Rose Villa & Oakdale are the most affordable streets in this area because once you hit San Pasqual or south of there you are now in the nose bleed section of pricing! If I had to guess, I would say that they extended out the front porch roofing and added that scroll work in the 50s. I am not a fan……I would get rid of both. Inside I love the original wood stained picture window and Batchelder fireplace. I think what most people will love for sure is that huge backyard in a neighborhood where you can never go wrong adding on! The kitchens and baths look quite original, but still that is an attractive price to get into that neighborhood on such a nice lot!
936 Roxbury Dr. Pasadena
$1,400,000 3bd & 1.5ba 1,614 sq.ft 7,675 lot
Open Saturday & Sunday, 2-4pm
I just love a nice brick front traditional….complete with a Dutch door!! And on top of that.. Roxbury is such a lovely block! It is a very formal layout so there won´t be an open flow from the living areas to the backyard, but still it looks like a very lovely home that has been nicely maintained and updated!
2026 Stratford Ave. South Pasadena
$1,050,000 4bd & 1.5ba 2,054 sq.ft 6,600 lot
Open Saturday, 2-4pm & Thursday, 11-2pm
Be prepared to deal with the crowds on this one! It is 2000 sq.ft on a cute block of South Pasadena near the park! Yes it is a total fixer, but check out that curb appeal… what a beautiful looking Spanish! I love a lot of the original detailing and I would try to save/incorporate some of the tile work in the kitchen and baths! I am guessing it will sell for more like $1.6…….but we will see!
2536 Devonshire Ln. Altadena
$978,000 2bd & 2ba 862 sq.ft 3,175 lot
Open Saturday & Sunday, 2-5pm
This little block of homes is a clutch of cute little English style homes on little lots. What we call a condo alternative! I remember this one from a few months back and it was a mess for sure! I don´t know why they got rid of the original fireplace? I mean it wasn´t anything to write home about but it was a real fireplace that now has been replaced with a gas something or other. I like the bathroom, but the kitchen feels a little too modern to me…..still a cute house walking distance to all the trendy things coming into the shops on Lake…..for under a million!
2807 Grandeur Ave. Altadena
$899,000 2bd & 1ba 1,190 sq.ft 6,677 lot
Open ?
I like this block of Glen, because it is a short block that does not connect to any nearby busy street. The house looks decent enough and at this price you can turn the other eye to the cheap upgrades! If it stays around a million, I would buy it!!
That´s it for this week. Have a lovely weekend!
